| VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 31, 2007) - ALDA Pharmaceuticals Corp. (TSX VENTURE:APH) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that a new, expanded license has been granted for manufacturing, marketing and distribution of ALDA's T36® products in China. At ALDA's request, distribution of products manufactured in China to other countries is allowed under this license. Previously, as announced by the company in a news release dated November 30, 2004, a similar license had been granted to Fuzhou Xinmei Biotech Co. Ltd. ("Fuzhou") but covered only the province of Fujian. Fuzhou's original license has been transferred to He-Yi She Ye Limited of Fuzhou City ("He-Yi"). He-Yi is the agent responsible for having arranged testing, registration and manufacturing approval for the T36® formulation in China as announced by the company in news releases dated December 21, 2006, January 4, 2007 and May 29, 2007, respectively. The new agreement with He-Yi expands the rights previously granted to Fuzhou from the province of Fujian to all of China. He-Yi can now pursue manufacturing, marketing and distribution in all provinces of China in exchange for achieving certain minimum sales levels and the payment of license fees and royalties to ALDA. He-Yi will be promoting the use of ALDA's T36® formulation throughout China as a hand sanitizer, first-aid antiseptic and disinfectant. About He-Yi She Ye Limited He-Yi has been manufacturing a variety of products for Chinese and Japanese clients for almost 10 years and has nearly 100 employees. He-Yi owns and occupies two buildings located in FuZhou JinShang Industrial Park and has recently expanded its operations to include the production of sanitary products. He-Yi is experienced in manufacturing high quality products for both foreign and domestic customers and has established a distribution network throughout China. |
